About Nepal

Diversity in action

Nepal is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, fascinating and fun places to travel on earth. Couple that with an interest in mountains and you have the best trekking destination on the planet. There is nothing obvious about Nepal. Centuries of integration and tolerance have created a country out of numerous different races, languages and religions. There is seldom a simple answer to apparently simple questions! There are over 70 languages in everyday use, a melting pot of religion and pre-religious thought and a hot bed of modern politics and ideals.

The magnificence of the mountains is undoubtedly best experienced on foot and in the company of local guides and porters. The geographic diversity ranges from the low lying Indian plains to the summit of the world’s highest peak. In Nepal there is a journey to inspire everyone. The Greatest  Mountain Journeys on Earth

The Kingdom of Nepal has been an inspirational destination for adventure travelers and spiritual seekers since opening her borders in the 1950’s. Nepal is one of the most beautiful places on earth with majestic mountain scenery and a seductive cultural diversity. From the summit of Everest to romantic, fertile foothills there is something for everyone to discover in this country of breathtaking landscapes.

The Nepalese people themselves are an integral part of any journey in this amazingly friendly country, and few travelers return unaffected by the gentle strength of some of the worlds toughest mountain people.

Nepal is the ideal destination for a first time visit to the Himalaya, and most visitors make plans for a speedy return.

Trekking relates to the way in which we travel through the mountains of Nepal. We employ a strong local crew of guides, porters and cooks to enable us to be self sufficient on our journey. The crew carry all our tents, food, fuel and equipment for the length of our trip, leaving are group members to carry just a day pack. Some people find this ‘a bit weird’ to start with, but as the scenery unfolds most are happy with the opportunity to travel slowly, take photographs or just relax into the beautiful routine of walking in the Himalaya.

Our cook crew starts us off with a cup of bed tea, and continues to care for our food and drinks needs throughout the day. We really are very well looked after in a very uniquely Nepalese style.
