Everest Base Camp Booking for 2011

The Khumbu region of Nepal offers the grandest mountain scenery on earth and trekking to Everest Base camp adds many historic and fascinating stories to your journey. But there is even more to this magnificent region and our relaxed, circular trek takes in all the highlights. Perfect acclimatization in the Gokyo Valley allows time to view Everest from the Renjo La and Gokyo Ri, crossing the non-technical Cho La Pass adds a bit of up close mountain excitement and we even have an extra day free to trek to the truly breathtaking base of Ama Dablam, the most beautiful mountain in the Everest Region. Returning through Tengboche Monastery for our return mountain flights to Kathmandu completes the ideal exploration of Everest Base Camp and beyond!
We will be using mountain lodge style accommodation throughout this journey, carrying only day packs as our team of porters transport all remaining equipment to the following nights resting place.
Our October 2011 trek will be led by Philip Stone, a well-respected BC mountaineer and outdoor-community leader. Author of ‘Island Alpine’ & ‘Coastal Hikes’, Phil’s resume of exploration and first ascents on Vancouver Island is equalled by his passion for adventure photography. There will be plenty of time on-trek to share techniques and tips on digital mountain photography. We are now taking bookings for our October departure.
